If you fancy a visit to a festival this summer, but are a little too concerned about the weather (and must, encrusted in a muddy field with thousands of other festival-goers are mud), then perhaps the Banicassim Festival for very you!

It takes between 15 to 18 July the festival has the luxury of being on the Spanish Mediterranean coast in the resort of Costa del Azahar. FIB (Festival Internacional de Benicassim) is located near the cities of Valencia and Barcelona.

In the 15 years since the idea of Benicassim has a plethora of actions, including the Stone Roses, Radiohead and Oasis play to see the sell-out crowd, although Oasis Noel Gallagher leader was not too happy, after a few sound problems while in 2009 set. But he has to compliment the enthusiastic crowd!

The track is fantastic for the year 2010. Headliners Kasabian are on Thursday, Vampire Weekend on Friday, Saturday and support Prodigy Gorillaz on Sunday to play for acts on the four days comes from award-winning band Ash, Punk legend Johnny Rotten with Public Image Ltd., Ray Davies, Ian Brown, Dj Shadow, Lily Allen, The Specials and the Klaxons plus many other world-class artists.

Besides the great live music, there are also two markets pass through FIB. The FIB markets are up booths from record companies and made the fashion house shops and charitable organizations to capture, and it is one in the hall itself and the other in the (free) campsite.

FIB Benicassim filled with various other attractions on the four days, with contemporary art installations, exhibitions, theaters, a very popular short film festival and fashion shows. Just something for everyone!

Both Valencia and Barcelona, international airports with flights from the UK, you might have in Reus, Alicante, Gerona and Madrid to fly. Ryan Air (Liverpool & London) and Easyjet (Bristol, Edinburgh and Liverpool) flights are available for most destinations. Transfers are made with an official FIB bus service available.

Benicàssim should have a railway station with connections to most cities in Spain you need to fly somewhere else. National Express, Euro Lines and Alsa run all coaches are the United Kingdom to Valencia and Barcelona, if you do not mind a fair few hours to spend on a bus. Make sure you take a couple of books and your iPod!

If you would prefer to stay away from the festival site there are hotels and campsites in the vicinity of the resort Alcoceber, Castellon, Oropesa Del Mar Peniscola available.
